1965 - The first little bit is Bobby doing an impression of Frank Fontaine's Crazy Guggenheim character from The Jackie Gleason Show as he helps to introduce the next musical guests. Then he performs to his song "The Joker", which, as a side note, was written by Anthony Newley and Leslie Bricusse for their musical, 'The Roar of the Greasepaint, the Smell of the Crowd'.

As well as a big Bobby fan, I'm a huge Newley fan, so I thought it was particularly great that he recorded one of his numbers. Now I'm wondering how Rydell would have sounded doing "What Kind of Fool Am I?"... Hmmmm... It would definitely be interesting. And I would DEFINITELY love it I'm sure. Ya hear that Bobby Rydell??...If you're out there reading this... Get on that right away!
