At the Oliver Scott Memorial Park in Central Frontenac Township, a $93,400 Capital grant helped transform a parking lot into a vibrant, all-season multi-use court.

This new space has become a vital hub for the entire community, offering a safe and accessible environment for people of all ages and abilities.

Seniors, children, people with disabilities, and underserved groups now come together for a multitude of community events and activities:

• Sports and recreation – such as sledge hockey, ice hockey, pickleball, wheelchair tennis
• Cultural events – such as farmers' markets and weddings

The Sharbot Lake Rink Sport Court has improved the physical health of community members and reduced their isolation, strengthening the sense of community in this rural town.
