Описание к видео Unmasking the Dangers of Indoor Air Pollution

Indoor air quality is potentially more dangerous inside your own home and all of these levels vary depending on your lifestyle. Depending on the particles present in the air you're breathing, health effects could vary on the time of exposure and concentration of the particles/chemicals.

Particulate matter(PM):
PM2.5 has side effects even at short exposures of time, such as
-premature mortality
-increased hospital admission.
It can also aggravate existing respiratory problems like
-asthma attacks.

PM10 has health effects associated with the worsening of already existing respiratory diseases such as
-asthma
-COPO
Exposure to PM10 also includes more visits to the hospital.

Carbon Dioxide:
CO2 has different ranges of exposure that make the effects of it vary.
400-1000 ppm,
-Normal Indoor levels
1000-2000 ppm
the effects could include headaches
-fatigue
-stuffy nose
-poor concentration
-increased heart rate
-nausea
50,000 ppm or greater
-toxic to the human body because of the reduced oxygen levels that come with a huge concentration of CO2.

Volatile Organic Compounds(VOC)
The effects of VOCS also varies on the specific concentration.
0-0.4 ppm
-Normal Indoor Levels
0.4-2.2 ppm has effects like
-headaches
-nausea
-dizziness
-respiratory problems
2.2-30 ppm is very unhealthy and even short term exposure can cause
-dizziness
-nausea
-loss of coordination
The effects it could have over a longer period of time could be
-kidney damage
-liver damage,
-cardiovascular
-heart disease
-cancer
