1968 Imperial Crown Coupe Special Dealer Reveal Car! The Car Dealers Saw To Introduce New Models!

Описание к видео 1968 Imperial Crown Coupe Special Dealer Reveal Car! The Car Dealers Saw To Introduce New Models!

Is this Imperial special? I mean…they are all right? Every Imperial is its own little ray of sunshine that deserves it. In this case this Imperial is full on sunshine not a ray because it is a special and unique car.

Back in the day Chrysler would make a run of early cars to show the new models to the dealers. These were super special events at each Chrysler regional office around the country. Have talked to a lot of dealers who were around back then and they were apparently huge parties with a lot of booze and other substances. The dealers would see the new models and would put in initial orders for the cars for the new model year. This particular car was built as the reveal car for the Portland, Oregon regional office for that show. Kind of cool to see the car most Imperial orders were based off of for 1968.

I also decode the fender tag for the car and go through the 1968 Imperial data book. This book is what the dealers used in the dealership to order the new cars and have all sorts of neat info in them.
