I was given a mission by the government of Finland. The ministery of economic affairs and employment wants me to encourage you to travel near.

Within couple years I’ve travelled near to over 30 places in Finland. (including Archipelago, Utö, Röölä, Oulu, Syöte, Sodankylä, Kuusamo, Muhos, Koli, Heinävesi, Nurmes, Valtimo, Kauhava, Nummijärvi, Tampere, Nokia, Ikaalinen, Sääksmäki, Kouvola, Jämsä, Siilinjärvi, Loppi, Salo, Karjaa, Espoo, Vantaa, Heinola, Nurmes, Pihlajavesi, Turku, and of course inside Helsinki.)

In times of social media its important to meet people face to face. In times of political turmoil it’s important to talk face to face.

They say Finns are the most challenging people to make friends with. I say challenge accepted.

Go out, go to that bar you never went to
Just hit the road without knowing where it leads you to

Visit the neighbour you only greet in corridor
Smallest of adventures is where friendships are born

Traveling to your neighboring flat can offer a journey to emotionally distant lands.
Travel to neighbouring district and you home expands.
