$5 thrifted Head “Blue Head” Master aluminum vintage racquet | Point Play

The people have spoken. The Seventies. Thanks you to everyone who voted in our recent poll. This is your channel, not mine. I read all the comments and will try and cover the racquets you want to see provided I have them. This Blue Head was requested three months ago when we were discussing the Head Edge and Head “Red Head” Professional aluminum racquets from the 1970s.

The Blue Head here was used by Bobby Riggs in his famous battle of the Sexes match against Billie Jean King.

Three months ago I didn’t own this. Now I do 😀. Seek and ye shall find. I bought it last week along with a Chemold aluminum, two Slazenger aluminums, and a Yonex R-7.

Head heavy like all these Classics. Small sweet spot, like the size of a Quarter, lol. Around 55 sq inches, similar to the Wilson T2000 but normal stringing not wrapped around the frame like the T2000. Blue plastic yoke. Great racquet to improve your footwork. Around 13 ounces. A real rocket launcher.
