Blade shearing is a century’s old skill using hand shears instead of electric shears. It’s slower but the sheep seem to prefer it. Baavet is keen to keep these heritage crafts alive. This can preserve cultural identity and traditional knowledge, support local economies and promote sustainability.

Baavet are in the process of sponsoring a Welsh blade shearing competition in North Wales.
