While coming on National Highway towards Udupi we halted at Maravante beach which is just by the side of National Highway. Maravante is about 55 kms from Udupi and 150 kms from Mangalore. Geographical location of Maravante is interesting. While Arabian sea is there on one side the Suparnika river is there on the other side. Maravante has a long sandy beach which is one of the major tourist attractions. There is a beautiful temple of Varaha Swamy temple on the sea beach. We enjoyed the beach for about one hour and then proceeded towards Udupi, our next destination.
