Previously, the party wrapped up the Gadabout vocation quest line with Quest 211. Afterwards, they did some grinding in the Heart of Hades, and Heorot reached Gadabout Level 48. Now, I will create a temporary character and begin showing off the starting Ogre scenario in Rangao Village far to the northeast of Glen.

Upon loading the game, I clear a save slot and create a new character, a young woman named Fiona. She will have a younger sister named Anna, but she won't figure in. I skip the prologue scenario in Eterne Village and go directly to the Temple of Light.

Temple of Light (time 2:08):

When Fiona arrives at the Temple of Light, a scene takes place.

Fiona turns to her right and examines the Ogre altar. She designs her Ogre self. For her starting vocation, she chooses Martial Artist.

Another scene takes place afterwards. Fiona receives her Adventure Log key item and gets whisked away to her new body.

Rangao Mountains (time 7:37):

The opening sequence starts with a scene in the snowy Rangao Mountains. Looks cold.

Rangao Village (time 8:14):

Another scene takes place in Rangao Village. As in the starting Dwarf scenario, Fiona's "revival" causes a stir.

After the scenes, Fiona the Ogre gains control in Rangao Village (time 14:11). Her first objective is to visit her rescuer, Mjoll, in her room in the Village Chief's House.

Fiona starts at Martial Artist Level 1. She is equipped with a set of Beginner's Claws, Ogre Villager Clothes, and Ogre Villager Shoes. She also has a Beginner's Staff and a Beginner's Fan in inventory, but she will stay with the claws.

Under sound settings on the settings menu, I enable auto-advance for voiced dialogue.

At D-7, Giro has story info. So does Shara at E-6.

At E-7 outside the inn, a barrel contains Mini Medal #001.

In the church next to the inn, Fiona saves. I quit to the title screen and then distribute the preorder bonuses to Fiona's save file. I reload Fiona's game afterwards.

Rangao Village (time 19:23):

After resuming in the church, Fiona equips the Angel Slime Hat.

In the house at E-6/F-6, a barrel contains 7 gold. Fumi has story info.

At the armour shop, Fiona buys and equips Leather Armour and Leather Leggings.

At C-5 outside the western house, a barrel contains 2 gold. Inside the house, a wardrobe contains a Medicinal Herb (やくそう). A bookshelf contains "Teachings of the Old Wise Man".

At D-4, a barrel contains a Single Phial (まほうの小ビン).

At E-1 in the north of town, a barrel contains a Medicinal Herb (やくそう).

The party takes the gate at E-1 to the Village Fighting Arena. Within, a pot at C-7 contains a Single Phial (まほうの小ビン). Another pot at F-7 contains Mini Medal #002.

The party takes the southern gate at D-8/E-8 out of the arena.

At E-4 outside the house at D-4, a barrel contains 6 gold.

Outside the house at E-4/F-4, a pot contains a Medicinal Herb (やくそう). Inside the house, a wardrobe contains a set of Ogre Villager Clothes.

At G-5 outside the Village Chief's House, a red chest contains 3 Medicinal Herbs (やくそう).

Fiona enters the Village Chief's House at F-5. In the kitchen in the west, a pot contains a Medicinal Herb (やくそう).

Fiona enters the eastern room for a scene with Mjoll. Fiona's next objective is to to search the Ronda Ice Cave west of Rangao Village for her lost Zoom Stone.

After the event, Shara at E-6, Fumi in the house at E-6/F-6, and Giro at D-7 have story info.

Fiona exits south at D-8 to the Rangao Mountains.

Rangao Mountains (time 32:41):

Fiona starts at D-1/D-2 in the north of this snowy area. Ronda Ice Cave is to the west, but Fiona explores to the northeast first.

Fiona reaches Martial Artist Level 2. She learns the ability Psyche Up (ためる) and earns 3 skill points for a total of 3. Under Claws, she spends 1 skill point on the ability Propeller Blade (ウィングブロウ) and 2 points on Critical Rate +0.5% with claws equipped.

The player earns the accolade "Claw User" for picking up 2 nodes on the Claws skill panel.

Fiona reaches Martial Artist Level 3 and earns 1 skill point for a total of 1.

At F-1 in the northeastern hills, a red chest contains 3 Single Phials (まほうの小ビン).

The player earns the accolade "Starting Collector" for collecting 10 or more types of items.
