It is a cold April day in 1999 and i'm at Greenfoot Signal Box near Gartcosh in Scotland. It was due to close not long after my visit, and i was there to catch the semaphore signals at work. It had a Splitting Distant signal, very rare back then and possibly they no longer exist on the national network. The trains passing by are mostly class 156 Super Sprinter DMUs although classes 56, 60, 117 & 150 also pass by.
