Manthal Buddha Rock is the most ancient and hisotrical place of buddism Religion in Skardu city of Gilgit Baltistan Pakistan. According to the historians this place is almost 1200 years ancient when the Budhist people were living here before the arriaval of Islam religion in this territory. The peoples of Budh religion had have leave many of their historical places, history and memory.
The manthal buddha Rock is also the one of the ancient place, Where you can see a big stone yellow colored. At the ancient time the people engraved the pictures of their Spiritual leaders, you can see the three main spiritual leaders of Buddh religion on big stone at Manthal Buddha Rock, in which one of is sit in center and two are stand at the side of big stone, And you can also see many pictures with different shapes around the centeral picture and on one side of the stone the Balti language words are also engraved by the people of Buddism at ancient time. The Manthal Buddah Rock is protected in 1975 by the Antiquities Act.
The manthal buddha rock is most famour and historical place in Skardu city of Gilgit Baltistan Pakistan, Where thousands of tourists come. Many of the fellowers of Budh religion are also come for visit from the outside of Pakistan. The manthal area is the beautiful and tourist place in Skardu city. The main source of water in Manthal area is the of snow-melt water from Deosai mountains. The water flow down with different streams from the deosai mountains and enter into the Sadpara lake, and from Sad para lake the water flow to the valley of manthal and fell in great river of Indus.

You can visit many places in Skardu district. I went to Skardu city first time in my life and i enjoyed a lot at different places of Skardu city. When i reached at Katpana desert with my friends the weather was so hot, but i enjoyed a lot there because i was excited to visit and see Katana desert. I was also want to visit the Katpana Lake, Kowardo Suspension bridge ( Hanging bridge) but due to the bad attitudes of my friends i could not visit, but till now i am feeling bad to miss the wonderful enjoyment. I suggest you to visit the Katpana cold desert, Katpana Lake, Kowardo Suspension bridge ( Hanging bridge) in Skardu if you want to visit or if you have a plan to visit Skardu district of Gilgit Baltistan in future.

My name is Muhammad Imran from village majra Kalan, tehsil Sambrial, District Sialkot, punjab Pakistan. I plan to visit beautiful Skardu city with my friends Tahir Ahmed, Akbar Hussain & Muhammad Waseem via National Highway karakoram road N-35 in month August 2024, because the mahandri bridge was destroyed before our tour due to high rain and flood and we cannot travel via Naran, Kaghan and Babusar Pass. So, we decide to visit national highway Karakoram Road N-35 that is called eight wonder of the world.


In this tour we visited Karakoram Road National highway N-35 till Skardu Morr, Nanga Parbet view, beautiful and dangerous Skardu Raod, Bilamic Village, thorchay meadows, Boranga Meadows, Skardu city, Chunda Valley, Katpana Desert, Kharphocho Fort, Manthal Buddha Rock, Shiger City, Amburiq Mosque, Shiger fort, Sarfaranga Cold Desert Shigar, Sadpara Lake, Deo sai, Shausar Lake, Babusar Pass, Lulu Sar Dudi Pat sar lake, Besar, Barwai, eating in Moon Restaurant, Jalkhand, Bhata Kundi, Naran city, Saif ul Malook lake, Kaghan, balakot city, Muzaffarabad city etc.
