Storm Bert: How the destruction unfolded

Five people are believed to have been killed across Britain and a major incident was declared in south Wales as Storm Bert caused widespread flooding and travel disruption over the weekend.

More than 80 per cent of November’s average monthly rainfall fell in 48 hours across the UK. A wind gust of 76mph was recorded in Yeovilton, Somerset, believed to be the strongest there since February 1990.
