BIGGEST PIKE of my life | FLY FISHING for pike on CHEW valley lake

After a fairly uneventful fly fishing trip aimed at working on our pike fly casting skills, we went back to the Chew Valley in search of their nationwide famous big pike.
We had good spring weather with overcast spells and just a right amount of wind, but more importantly Paul Monaghan’s superb hand tied flies presented just above the weed-beds.
This time, our luck was going to change…
If you haven't tried fly fishing for pike you should give it a try as you will not regret it.
