Is it possible that brokers touch stop losses deliberately? Say you're trading spot forex, or CFDs or even spreadbetting (other than trading on an exchange). Say you leave a trade overnight and the market comes up and stops you out. But then you notice that the market hasn't really traded there... What can you do? If you genuinely think you have been stopped on an erroneous price the first thing to do is to call them up and ask to speak to a dealer. You don't accuse them that they've stopped you out erroneously; you just ask them to check to make sure it was executed correctly (be polite and friendly). And most of the times they will do it; these brokers want to retain you as a client. Execution policies do differ from one broker to another. If, however you are trading with an unregulated broker, and you know something is seriously wrong just close the account and move to a regulated provider. You can't keep worrying about your broker screwing you all the time; getting the market direction right is hard enough. OK.
