Unused / unissued footage - dates and locations may be unknown / unclear.

Princess Elizabeth (Queen Elizabeth II) and Prince Philip (Duke of Edinburgh) visit Dartmouth Naval College in Devon.

Various shots of Princess and Duke leaving HMS Anson, boarding HMS Wizard and transferring to launch that takes them to Dartmouth in Devon. Pan across harbour to shore where banner stretched along quay announces 'Dartmouth Royal Regatta'. Shots of decorated buildings along seafront as we approach Dartmouth. Brief shot of castle as we approach harbour. Crowds wait on bunting-decorated streets for the Royals to arrive. Shots of decorated yachts in harbour. Small flotilla of yachts in harbour. L/S of HMS Wizard in distance (?).

Princess and Duke walk past crowds with Mayor of Dartmouth and other officials. M/S front view as Princess cuts tape to open a new road (? so says paperwork). Small girl presents the Princess with a bouquet. Princess chats to a woman. Children waving flags.

Shots of Prince inspecting young men of Naval College (or yachting club for younger cadets?), who are dressed in white tops and shorts with dark jumpers slung over the shoulders. Some are very young boys - cadets - and there seems to be just one small girl. Prince chats to old men - former members of College? Princess and Prince, accompanied by officers, walk down steps to parade ground where cadets are lined up. Princess and Duke inspect the cadets. Band and cadets marching past Prince and Princess while Philip takes salute. View of Naval College Buildings. Officer is presented to Princess and Prince. Cadets wave their hats in a stylised way while giving three cheers for Princess and Prince.

Note: old records state that footage includes Royal visit to Jersey, but there doesn't appear to be anything of Jersey here, unless a few of the harbour shots are of St Helier and have been cut in by mistake. This visit probably on way to or from Channel Islands.
