How to play LRMs! Archer ARC-2R - Mechwarrior Online The Daily Dose

There is a misconception in a lot of player's heads that LRMs are most effective when boated and used at very long range from a safe place. Today I want to invite you to take a look at a more active approach to play long range missiles...at short range.

The playstyle involves walking to the front line with the main force and shoot missiles while advancing. This not only helps your teammate with the damage but also drives back your foes so that your team can maneuver. Also the travel time of the missiles is MUCH shorter which makes it extremely difficult for your enemies to get back to cover in time.

Another thing that I want to emphasize on is backup weapons. Have something to defend yourself with! And I don't mean a single small laser. With the approach of being in the middle of the fight you not only can destroy the Mechs that push you but you can also secure kills with your pinpoint weapon when needed.
