This is the moment a man who stops to talk on his mobile phone in a doorway narrowly avoids a huge snow mass that slides off the building’s roof and misses him by inches.

The incident took place on Frunse Street in the town of Zelenodolsk in western Russia’s Republic of Tatarstan and was filmed by a nearby CCTV camera.

In the footage, the man is seen standing under a roofed building entrance while talking on his phone.

The huge mass of snow covering the roof suddenly moves and begins to fall from the two-storey building.

The man seems to instinctively take a step back as the mass of snow slides off the roof and crashes on the ground, sending ice everywhere and even dousing the CCTV camera lens.

Meanwhile, the man continues chatting on his phone like nothing had happened.

Ruslan Galiev, spokesman for the public prosecutor’s office, has confirmed that they are investigating the matter.

According to local media, the building owner, who is liable if someone is injured in such an incident, failed to clean the roof and a huge blanket accumulated there.

Netizen ‘Tochka’ said: “The guy is so lucky that he is under the porch when that happened!”
