I cut my third rock, he tried to stop me! This is a piece of petrified wood I found on the Washougal river in October. I cut the bottom off and then make it a book end style specimen.
I am absolutely in awe of the beauty inside rocks. I didn’t think I could be more excited about rocks! I zoom in with my digital microscope and show you what I think might be petrified insect damage. We discuss kissing toads, because there is no way that every rock I choose to cut is going to be stunning like this, right??? I love my husband, he loves rocks too and tries to take this one from me. I can’t wait to cut the next one!!!
