Chhena Manda Pitha Recipe ( Odia ) | Sijha chhena manda by mrunalinee | Rice flour dumpling recipe | Pitha recipe by mrunalinee : Manda pitha is one of the most popular traditional food from Odisha , prepared in Odia homes especially on the ocassion of festivals or Brat ( Manabasa Gurubara & Sudasa brata - offered to Goddess Laxmi as prasad ) .This super soft and smooth Manda pitha ( Rice flour dumpling ) , outer covering is made with steamed rice flour / batter and jaggery mixed coconut for the filling . Here I have prepared this Chaula Manda Pitha ( Rice flour dumpling ) with sweet filling of Chhnea ( cottage cheese / Cheese curds ) . Which is so soft , smooth and delectable. So, learn the procedure of this super soft Chhnea manda pitha procedure with tips . Must try and enjoy :)

Ingredients :
For Outer Covering ( Jantuni ) :
1. Raw Rice ( Pitha bana arua chaula ) or ( Idli dosa Rice ) - 1½ cup or 200gm
2. Water - 2½ cups ( or as required )
3. Salt - 1/4 tbsp
4. Sugar- ( 2½ tbsp - 3 tbsp )
For Filling / Stuffing ( Chhnea Pura ) :
1. Chhnea ( cheese curds / cottage cheese ) - 1 bowl or 150 gm ( approx. )
2. Jaggery ( Guda- Odia / Gud ) - 5 tbsp or 75 gm
3. Chopped Cherry - 1 tbsp or 5-6 nos. ( Optional )
