Mohammed Rafi was a renowned Indian playback singer, celebrated for his versatility and wide vocal range. Born in a Punjabi Jat Muslim family in Kotla Sultan Singh, Punjab, Rafi began singing at a young age, imitating a fakir who roamed the streets of his village.
