“You Da Baddest” marks the first direct collaboration between Future and Nicki Minaj, after appearing on numerous songs together as featured artists (not including their 2014 unreleased track, “Rockstar”). It is the third collaborative single that Future has put out since releasing the albums FUTURE and HNDRXX, preceded by “PIE” with Chris Brown and “Extra Luv” with YG, both of which were added to the streaming versions of the albums. It was originally scheduled for a July 21 release, however it was delayed and ended up surfacing online on July 22.

It was officially released on July 28 and subsequently added to the streaming version of HNDRXX.
