Crafted in Light: A Modern Home in the Tropics

Located on the widest stretch of the Indian Creek Waterway, 5515 Pine Tree Drive invites us to inhabit a space where the shimmering waters of Miami’s coastal plains become an integral part of a home’s daily rhythm. Anchored on an expansive lot in the exclusive La Gorce neighborhood, and facing the sun’s rise to the east, this home’s architecture beautifully blends contemporary design with a refined tropical sensibility.

Approaching the house, an elegant water feature guides visitors toward a grand double-height atrium—a luminous threshold that frames the sky and bathes the interiors in shifting light. Internally, the expansive program unfolds around a central communication core, where glass-filled voids create a dynamic interplay of light and space

A carefully curated blend of textures defines the spatial interior experience: the quiet strength of textured travertine columns, the tranquil expanse of smooth white ceilings, and the deliberate precision of sleek black accents. Here, natural stone and travertine finishes are elemental forces that shape the atmosphere of each space.

At the heart of the home, a gourmet kitchen unfolds with sculptural cabinetry and fixtures designed by artisans as tactile expressions of the home’s commitment to craftsmanship and luxurious detail.

The residence extends outward, where the shimmering pool and integrated spa dissolve the boundary between architecture and water.
