Defining the Theme of Every All Stars Season of Drag Race

Описание к видео Defining the Theme of Every All Stars Season of Drag Race

In my previous video I talked about how each season of All Stars is set up for someone to win, in order for the show to send a certain message or establish a new status quo. When they pick their winners this way, or possible winner choices, they also tend to edit a show in a certain way, following a specific theme. As these seasons are never queens’ first times competing, like I have mentioned, the show knows what they can do with them and what they want from them. It does seem like the casting for the first 4 seasons was deliberate, and it fell off with season 5. Obviously, every season’s cast is built by simply who’s available at the time, but sometimes the casting gets creative with it, sometimes they simply rely on it. Even with the latter, today, I’ll try to define the theme of each season of All Stars, given that we have seemingly already dubbed season 9 as the tax-write off season, though, I would add “political clout” season.

Queens talked about in the video: A’Keria Davenport, Aja, Alexis Mateo, Alexis Michelle, Alyssa Edwards, Bebe Zahara Benet, BenDeLaCreme, Blair St. Clair, Chad Michaels, ChiChi DeVayne, Coco Montrese, Detox, Farrah Moan, Jan, Jaymes Mansfield, Jimbo, Jinkx Monsoon, Jujubee, Katya, Kennedy Davenport, Kylie Sonique Love, Milk, Miz Cracker, Morgan McMichaels, Nina Bo’Nina Brown, Pandora Boxx, Peppermint, Ra’Jah O’Hara, Raja, Raven, Sasha Velour, Scarlet Envy, Serena ChaCha, Shangela, Shea Coulee, Tatianna, Thorgy Thor, Trinity K.
