In this video I walk through three practical mods I’ve already done to my 2026 Ram Rebel and why I think most owners will eventually end up doing these same upgrades.

This isn’t about chasing horsepower or flashy parts. These are real world mods that improve daily usability security comfort and long term ownership.

First I take a deep look at the retractable hard tonneau cover I installed. I wanted something solid metal and secure enough to protect expensive gear while still looking clean and factory. I go over the pros and cons including lost bed space water drainage security T track compatibility and whether I would choose the locking version again.

Next I cover the Mopar aluminum running boards. These have been one of the most appreciated upgrades for passengers especially for getting in and out of the truck. I talk about build quality install time durability and why these specific boards work so well on the Rebel.

The final installed mod is under the hood with a J and L catch can. I explain why I believe catch cans are important on modern direct injection engines what I’ve already seen collected in a short amount of mileage and what owners in cold climates need to think about before running one year round.

I also talk about mods I am not doing including tuning and why warranty reliability and real world driving matter more to me than chasing extra power in an already very quick truck.

Finally I touch on future mods I’m considering including protecting exposed wiring underneath the truck and minor cosmetic changes like front window tint.
