The FBI has announced the arrest of the man suspected of planting pipe bombs outside the Republican and Democratic National Committee headquarters the night before the January 6th Capitol riot. After nearly five years, authorities finally identified the suspect, who lived in Northern Virginia and was fully masked during the crime.

The bombs were planted on January 5th, 2021, between 7:30 and 8:30 PM, and though they did not detonate, they were fully functional. Investigators tracked the suspect using enhanced surveillance, advanced video analysis, and rare clues like his Nike Air Max Speed Turf shoes. The investigation involved over 1,200 home and business visits, more than 1,000 interviews, nearly 39,000 video files, hundreds of tips, and a $500,000 reward.

Officials are expected to provide updates soon, with possible statements from Attorney General Pam Bondi, FBI Director Kash Patel, and Deputy Director Dan Bongino. This arrest brings new closure to a case that has gripped the nation for years.
