বান্দরবান জেলা শহর থেকে ২৬ কিলোমিটার দূরে চিম্বুক পাহাড়ের অবস্থান। সমুদ্র পৃষ্ঠ থেকে এর উচ্চতা প্রায় ২৬০০ শত ফুট। চিম্বুক যাওয়ার রাস্তার দুই পাশের পাহাড়ী দৃশ্য খুবই মনোরম। চিম্বুকে যাওয়ার পথে সাঙ্গু নদী আপনার ভ্রমণকে আরও বেশি আকর্ষণীয় ও নান্দনিক করে তুলেবে। পাহাড়ের মাঝে বাংলাদেশের সর্বোচ্চ সড়ক দিয়ে এঁকেবেঁকে যাওয়ার সময় মনে হবে গাড়িতে করে বুঝি চাঁদের বুকে পাড়ি জমাচ্ছেন। ২৬০০ ফুট উঁচুতে দাঁড়িয়ে এ অপরূপ বিচিত্র প্রাকৃতিক দৃশ্য দেখতে পাবেন চিম্বুকে। পাহাড়ের উপর দাঁড়িয়ে দেখতে পাবেন নিচে ভেসে যাচ্ছে মেঘের ভেলা। পার্শ্ববর্তী জেলা কক্সবাজার আর চট্টগ্রাম এর বিভিন্ন উপজেলাগুলোকে দেখা যায় এখান থেকে। বর্ষা মৌসুমে পাহাড়ের পাশ দিয়ে ভেসে যাওয়া মেঘ দেখে মনে হয় মেঘের স্বর্গরাজ্য ভাসছে চিম্বুক।

থানছি সড়কের দূর্গম পাহাড়ী এলাকায় চিম্বুক অবস্থিত হওয়ায় এখানে হোটেল বা রেস্তোরাঁ গড়ে ওঠেনি। জেলা প্রশাসকের তত্ত্ববধানে একটি রেস্টহাউস আছে। জেলা প্রশাসকের অনুমোতিক্রমে রাত্রি যাপনের সুযোগ রয়েছে। চিম্বুকের পাশে সেনাবাহিনীর ক্যান্টিন রয়েছে। এখানে সকালের নাস্তা ও দুপুরে খাবার পাওয়া যায়। এছাড়া খাবারের জন্য বান্দরবান থেকে চিম্বুক যাওয়ার পথে মিলনছড়ি ও শাকুরা নামে ২টি পর্যটন কেন্দ্র রয়েছে। তবে বান্দরবান থেকে হালকা খাবার ও অন্যান্য প্রয়োজনীয় জিনিসপত্র নিয়ে রওনা দেওয়াটাই সবচেয়ে ভাল।

Chimbuk hill is located 28 km from Bandarban district town. It is about 2600 feet above sea level. The view of the hills on both sides of the road to Chimbuk is very beautiful. On the way to Chimbu, the Sangu River will make your trip more interesting and aesthetic. When you go through the highest road of Bangladesh in the middle of the mountains, you will feel that you are crossing the moon by car. Standing at an altitude of 2600 feet, you will see this amazing natural scenery in Chimbu. Standing on the hill you will see the raft of clouds floating down. The surrounding districts of Cox's Bazar and various upazilas of Chittagong can be seen from here. Seeing the clouds floating on the side of the hill in the rainy season, it seems that Chimbuk is floating in the heaven of clouds.

As Chimbuk is located in the remote hilly area of ​​Thanchi Road, no hotel or restaurant has been built here. There is a resthouse under the supervision of the Deputy Commissioner. There is an opportunity to spend the night with the permission of the Deputy Commissioner. There is an army canteen next to Chimbuk. Breakfast and lunch are available here.
