The Iowa State Cyclones are at odds of 50-1 to win the NCAA Championship in 2017. The team went 23-12,, last season, going 10-8 in the Big 12
The Iowa State Cyclones were a major surprise as year ago as they made it all the way to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament. Head coach Steve Prohm did an outstanding job taking over for Fred Hoiberg and Iowa State was excellent straight up and decent against the spread..


The Cyclones will have to replace Georges Niang who was the leading scorer last season. Iowa State will also miss Abdel Nader who averaged nearly 13 points per game.
The Cyclones brought in Merrill Holden from Louisiana Tech who should take over as the defensive stopper in place of Niang. The Cyclones also added Donovan Jackson who should be a key contributor in the backcourt.
Iowa State also brought in Nick Weiler-Babb, a transfer from Arkansas, Darrell Bowie, a transfer from Northern Illinois, and Cameron Lard.
Iowa State does return Monte Morris who averaged nearly 14 points per game last season. They also have Naz Mitrou-Long who is coming back from hip surgery.
