Breaker! Breaker! 2013 was a good year for Bluetooth Communicators with many new and notable editions to our line-up. These aftermarket communication kits are all made to go on any BT friendly helmet and we purposely omitted OEM Bluetooth kits for their lack of versatility. We have a couple welcome new editions, including the Sena SMH10R that is the lowest profile, slimmest, lightest BT unit we've ever tested. This mini unit shares much of the DNA from its big brother, the popular Sena SMH10, without much sacrifice on battery life or range. The SMH10-11, which includes both the boom and wired mic, makes another appearance in our guide and is still our top pick for the easiest to use. Cardo Scala Rider also gets two positions in our line-up this year with the tried and true G9 and newbie Q3. The G9 still can't be beat for outstanding audio quality and its ability to pair with the SRC system. The G9 also has the most VOX functions and can pair with up to 9 riders. The Q3 is the replacement for the Q2 and has an impressively long list of upgrades including replaceable speakers, music sharing and the addition of a 4th rider. The last but not least in our top picks is the UClear HBC200. The HBC200 is the only boom-less mic option and takes seconds to install. The unit is also easy to use and easy to pair. Any of these options have been tested and approved by the folks at RevZilla.com and we strongly believe any Comm kit in this line up will keep you tuned in, chatting and on track.
