Hergest Ridge - The Rock Stars Retreat and How NOT To Get There

A walk to Hergest Ridge, a dramatic piece of scenery which didn't go according to plan. Starting in Kington, Herefordshire on the English/Welsh border and following a local guide book, we went totally off course but got there eventually. We now know the easier way to get there and will be back in the future to see it all in more detail. For now have a look at this misadventure and don't follow the route we took if you want to get there quickly and easily!

There's also a mention of its rock credentials and how it came to be the inspiration for a 1974 LP and a retreat for Mike Oldfield of Tubular Bells fame.
