He is one of those producers who gets everyone to agree from the start. Saudade, a Parisian micro-house producer, has needed one single EP to be recognised by the peers of the genre such as Point G (with whom he’s been working in his studio), Varhat, Janeret, Lowris, Brawther...

It all started in 2018, in the lair of the legendary Frankfurt club Robert Johnson, where Saudade attended a set by Ricardo Villalobos. The incisive tones and the importance of this magnetic sound mass represented by the minimal and the micro-house atmosphere made him literally fall in love with the genre. The following year he released his first EP on the Portuguese label Carpet & Snares, which sold out in just a few weeks.

He returns in 2020 with a new maxi called Xango, on Pont Neuf, a 4-tracker synthesizing his love for Brazil with the minimal house vibes. It begins with «Sohna», a track which contains a liberating tension with progressive percussion modulations. «O Samba» perpetuates this atmosphere thanks to its deep synths and its robotic vocal. The EP goes on with «As Ondas», a mixture of Brazilian percussion, aerial layers and more electronic sounds. Finally, «O Funk» breaks down the barriers of genres with a track that combines both Baile Funk - a Brazilian style close to the Miami Bass - ambient, and techno influences.
