This paper presents RELIC, a 14B-parameter interactive video world model designed for real-time, long-horizon exploration of virtual scenes. Addressing the trade-off between speed and memory in existing models, RELIC utilizes a compressed spatial memory mechanism within the KV cache to maintain 3D consistency over long durations (up to 20 seconds) without explicit geometric representations. The model is trained using a novel distillation framework that adapts a long-context bidirectional teacher into a causal student via a memory-efficient "replayed back-propagation" technique. RELIC achieves 16 FPS generation on 4 H100 GPUs while demonstrating precise action control and robust retrieval of previously seen content.
