So its now been a day since Popcorn and Raisin had their lump removals, and I'm happy to say both girls are now recovering perfectly and doing great! In this video you can see their surgery sites, both which look quite good to me - the vet & her team really did an amazing job, and both girls are responding great to their pain meds and are both acting pain free and completely ignoring their surgery sites.

As far as Raisin in particular goes, I think Raisin's initial "offness" yesterday (she was very groggy and cold when I picked her up initially, despite time in an incubator after surgery) was not just due to her being mostly hairless but also because her surgery was after Popcorn and she was under longer (since she had 2 lumps removed instead of 1), so she just wasn't quite at the same stage of recovery when I collected her. I do think she would have benefitted from another 1-2 hours in the incubator, but chilling under the blanket with me seemed to do the trick at keeping her toasty and after an hour or so doing that she stabilized and started acting fully normal.

Anyways both girls are doing amazing and today I let their cagemates each get a few minutes of visiting time, which they all very much appreciated. I'm going to have them stay in this recovery cage for one more night just to make sure they are really healing up, but after that they will be rejoining their buddies and I'm sure they will be very happy about that!
