Less Immersive and Interesting: Why Societally and Technologically Stagnating settings are Worse!

Hey, I'm the Worldbuilding Sage! My aim is to teach you certain worldbuilding techniques to build a setting for your book or Pen and Paper Campaign (no matter if Dungeons and Dragons, Pathfinder or other games).
In this video I talk about the topic of technological and societal stagnation in worldbuilding and especially fantasy. In my opinion, this trope is bad and makes for lesser settings and I usually tend to lose interest pretty early on. And in this video I explain why by focusing on three common reasons: The Romanticization of Fantasy and the Middle Ages, A Need for Myth, Legend and History for your World, and the existence of Magic.
