In 2005, Joe Biden went to extraordinary and convoluted lengths to please his donors and get bankruptcy restriction legislation passed. Listen to his ridiculous arguments, filled with "ums" and "uhs." Elizabeth Warren's responses are not as strong as they could have been, until the very end.

The rich and big businesses, of course, can still fully utilize the bankruptcy system. And so, when people talk about a rigged economy, this is the type of thing they're talking about. Unfortunately, Republican politicians and neoliberal Democrats, like Joe Biden, don't care. For example, they know that the bankruptcy "reform" has had a disproportionate impact on lower income groups; and yet... they do nothing about it.
