Here is a great player set of vintage 60's Premiers! These drums are metric sized drums, measuring closely to 14x22/8x12/16x16/5x14". The Royal Ace 14" snare drum is in fabulous condition and is certainly the biggest draw to these drums! Its unique and tough-to-find wires are in fantastic shape; you shouldn't need to replace them anytime soon.

These drums were likely refinished, as evident by the lightly lifted edges of their badges and some light finish wear in those areas. There are extra holes present in the shell of the 12", as well as an incomplete muffler and a missing muffler in the 16". the tom mount on the bass drum's angle tilter is functional, but it takes a minute to figure out. A wingnut spins until making enough contact with the squared end of the bolt to loosen the tilter - it's hard to explain, but it's a notable quirk that will help you get these set up without any surprises until you replace that wingnut; if you decide to. These mahogany shells are incredibly light, and subsequently are open and beautifully resonant. They're a fantastic example of English players that are still going strong!

You can special order metric heads from Remo, otherwise you can sometimes make imperial measured heads work - though the 12" head will be too large, and even a 16" bass drum head is too small for the floor tom. The bass drum and snare drum fit 22" and 14" heads perfectly, so we went ahead and replaced a couple. The snare's batter head and the resonant logo head on the bass drum are fresh. The tom heads are old, but nicely broken in and not abused. They sound great despite their worn appearance!
