(Eric) Glen Weyl is a Principal Researcher at Microsoft Research New York City whose work aims to use technology and economics to find new ways to organize societies to reduce inequality, increase productivity and ease political tensions. Glen Weyl is also a researcher at Princeton University and co-author of the book "Radical Markets: Uprooting Capitalism and Democracy for a Just Society".

Glen Weyl explains how his ideas for changing the US economy that he writes about in Radical Markets, came from research into the concept of mechanism design. According to Weyl, his goal was to take theoretical research and turn it into ideas with a practical application. He talks about why he felt it was his responsibility to put these ideas forward.
