My 7 year old asked me, What is Sex? It is a common question in the Intermediate Age and one that many parents are afraid to answer or unsure on how to answer effectively. This video is a HOW TO explain What is Sex to a child who is 7, 8, or 9 years old. Many kids will usually ask what is sex at some point during this age, but if your child is about to turn 10 years old and has not asked, What is Sex, I would encourage you to go to them and initiate the conversation yourself. It's a great time to explain what is sex in a medically-accurate way and discuss why this is something that adults do with other adults and not kids. Having this sex talk in the intermediate age can potentially prevent child sexual abuse from happening because you are equipping your child with the knowledge and skills to understand what is considered appropriate and inappropriate behavior.
