Has your Amazon FBA account been suspended or have you received an email titled "Your Amazon Seller European marketplace(s) account has been deactivated"? In this video, we look at why Amazon has deactivated my account and what I think of Amazon's emails about this!

Although this email was a false alarm, it still generated a few moments of fear and anxiety. There are probably hundreds of Amazon sellers receiving this email every day and I don't think it's acceptable.

I believe you should only receive these emails if your main Amazon FBA account has actually been suspended, not because you don't sell on all available marketplaces. Emails regarding the deactivation of marketplaces you don't use could be worded a lot better to reduce the impact it has on recipients.

Amazon Sellers that only sell on Amazon UK are at risk of receiving the email so please be aware of this if you are a UK seller.

Hello,

Your Amazon Seller European marketplace(s) account has been deactivated in accordance with section 3 of Amazon’s Business Solutions Agreement. Your listings have been removed. Funds will not be transferred to you but will be held in your account while we work with you to address this issue.
Be kindly noted, your access to UK marketplace account remains the same.

Why is this happening?
Because you have not used your European marketplace(s) seller account for continuous period of at least two (2) years and six (6) months, the European marketplaces are now inactive. In order to protect our customers, we deactivate accounts that have been inactive for extended periods. For more information, review the Amazon Payments Agreement:
