Students in the Faculty of Education's Concurrent and Part-Time Consecutive BEd are assigned community practicum placements by the Faculty's Practicum Office. This is an example of a community practicum placement with the Ontario Early Years Centre, a non-profit organization serving clients from the Humber River West to Dufferin East and from Steeles to the 401 South. The organization provides services in areas such as Mental Health, Community Development, Youth Focus, Settlement, and the Ontario Early Years family component. The organization's vision is a healthy Jane/Finch community, strong, inclusive, socially and politically active, through diversity, opportunity and participation.
