India is participating in multi-nation Exercise Bright Star exercise, along with 43 other countries, in Egypt, from 27 Aug to 10 Sep 25. The Indian Air Force has deployed its Su-30 and C-17 aircraft for this multilateral, joint exercise, which strengthens strategic ties, enhances interoperability, and provides the IAF a valuable mutual learning experience with friendly foreign countries. BRIGHT STAR 25 builds on the strategic security relationship between countries like Egypt, India, US and many others a historic partnership which plays a leading role in counterterrorism, regional security, and efforts to combat the spread of violent extremism. The exercise held with the Arab Republic of Egypt across air, land and sea domains that promotes and enhances regional security and cooperation and improves interoperability in irregular warfare against hybrid threat scenarios.
