Legal IDs from nearly all of iHeart's San Antonio cluster, recorded throughout December 2025.

Last month, the company announced that they were adopting a new tagline, "Guaranteed Human", which is now heard at the top of every hour on nearly all iHeartRadio stations (like every rollout on this scale, not everyone is using this for varying reasons, but most are compliant).

The reasoning given is to take a stand on AI usage, mainly that it will not be playing AI music or using any AI-generated hosts or voiceovers, at least for station-relevant content (because they already violate this as far as ads are concerned, the cluster here plays commercials all the time using AI voiceovers, including at 0:23 where an ElevenLabs voice reads the license number for the contractor, though the rest of the ad was voiced by an actual human, KJ weekend host Randy Carroll, and why he couldn't read that part himself I don't know).

It is a noble stand to take especially when there are companies out there (Saga probably the most high-profile) who have been pretty open on replacing all station voiceovers with AI-generated voices. That said, this company I don't think has the best track record in terms of automating things and cutting jobs, but at least they are committing to not using or playing AI slop (except for ads). So I'm split on this.

The only station that at the time of recording did not include the slogan was KQXT-HD2 (which is an automated smooth jazz format), but did update the voiceover to the generic iHeart AC voice guy. So at some point I will have to post that.
