Chen Zhou's work consistently focuses on contemporary individuals' living conditions and mental space. By merging personal memories with abstract emotional spaces, he combines the mountain-and-water imagery imbued with Eastern philosophical essence with primal human instincts. His aim is to construct overlapping surreal spaces that describe the situation of modern people through various internal spatial layers.

As the artist's first solo museum exhibition in China, "Travelogues" transforms Gallery 0 at the West Bund Museum into a dynamic and tranquil spiritual journey space. It invites the audience to explore how the spiritual world of contemporary people should be situated, seeking to evoke a broader sense of time and space.
