In this let's play Factory Town gameplay series from the Steam early access version, we start a new village on "Volcanic islands" terrain. Watch playlist:    • FACTORY TOWN: Volcano Island  

We've already set up a basic village with manual supply chains, but we're looking to the future and want to see how to set up Factory Town research, using an input of paper that needs to be made from water and wood.

We see how Factory Town research is only available if you are making certain kinds of money, so basic research uses the easiest coins, but you soon start to need coins made only by selling more advanced goods to your townsfolk.

We also use some of our basic yellow coins to buy a new land, now that we're a bit squeezed in by our volcano. Getting the new land reveals an Earth Temple that appears to be linked to the Earth crystal ore stuff we've seen on the other side of the map.
