Megastar Mammootty becomes the latest celebrity who has been diagnosed with COVID-19. He was busy shooting for his upcoming film, which is titled CBI 5. According to reports, the shooting of CBI 5 has been temporarily halted. In the movie CBI 5, he will be seen reprising the iconic role of Sethurama Iyer, an officer in the Central Bureau of Investigation. He also shared a snap from the shooting location earlier this week. It is reported that the actor is showing only mild symptoms. It is not clear if the actor is under home quarantine or admitted to a private hospital in Kerala. Filming of the fifth part of CBI was recently started. All the four previous editions of CBI were huge hits. The first four parts were Oru CBI Diary Kurup, Jagratha, Sethurama Iyer CBI and Nerariyan CBI. The fifth edition of CBI also features the same director, screenwriter and actor come together in three parts of the franchise over a period of three decades, which is also a speciality of the movie. Mammootty's upcoming movie is Bheeshma Parvam. The film is set to release on the 24th of next month. Filming of Puzhu and Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam has also been completed. Parvathy Thiruvoth is also starring with Mammootty in Puzhu. Mammootty is an Indian actor and film producer who works predominantly in Malayalam cinema. In a career spanning five decades, he has acted in over 400 films, mainly in Malayalam, with several in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Hindi and English. His acting and contributions to Malayalam cinema have been praised by his contemporaries in the Indian film industry. He has won three National Film Awards for Best Actor, seven Kerala State Film Awards and thirteen Filmfare Awards South. In 1998, the Government of India awarded him the Padma Shri for his contributions to the arts. He has also received honorary doctorate degrees from the University of Kerala in January 2010 and from the University of Calicut in December 2010. Many celebrities from the Tamil and Telugu film industries have announced that they have been affected by Covid since the New Year began. These include actors Mahesh Babu, Vishnu Vishal, Trisha, Sherin, Meena director Priyadarshan and actor Sathyaraj.
