The kid was on it today! That is what my thoughts were after these two freights cleared town this evening. She made it possible to catch the southbound SAHW train earlier in the evening, and if she did help us score the northbound return HWSA as well.

We had picked up some chatter and some track warrant information regarding another train that was coming north, up the Chicago Subdivision from Elnora all the way to Linton. Not 100% sure as to what was going to go first, we positioned ourselves in a grassy area between the two lines to wait.

After figuring out that the northbound empty coal train would be held south of town to allow our northbound Indy mixed freight to get out of the area. We relocated back to the northside of the Indianapolis Subs mainline, just minutes later our freight train headed for Indy, broke the curve located near Atlas Road just west of us.

Like I stated, The kid was on it today!
Our oldest, yet again alerted us to the oncoming lights that were then just breaking the horizon.
