Hi This is SensorLab.

When using a typical servo battery, the battery life is more than 20 years.

The Gearcoder is a battery-powered encoder that detects gear rotation and single-turn absolute position at ultra-low power during power outages.

This is the result of measuring battery consumption during a power outage.
The sensor uses capacitor power for approximately 4 hours and 30 minutes after the main power is off, consuming very little power from the battery.
After consuming all the power charged in the capacitor, it operates as a battery, and the current consumption is about 16uA.
