The Supervolcano in the United Kingdom; Glen Coe

Описание к видео The Supervolcano in the United Kingdom; Glen Coe

Within the United Kingdom is a massive but hidden supervolcano. Although it is extinct, its eruptions were responsible for the creation of unusual geologic formations which can be found near the town of Glen Coe. The supervolcano I am referring to is also called Glen Coe, which produced an eruption 300 times larger than the 1980 eruption of Mount Saint Helens. Today, much of this caldera and the surrounding landscape are located adjacent to a main road. This video will discuss this fascinating volcanic system, and state how it formed.
