Farming Outlook - 15 October 1981

I don't suppose this video will be of much interest to most people. The reason I am uploading it is that it features my grandad, Tom Milbourn (mistakenly subtitled as "Milburn" in this programme), and his potato harvesting machine. Sadly, despite investing a great deal of time and effort, he never managed to get the machine into commercial production.

My mum (Tom's daughter) went to a lot of trouble to get hold of a recording of this programme. Someone from Tyne Tees Television very kindly found it for her in their archives and supplied her with a VHS video of it. I converted this into a digital format and loaded it up to YouTube to, hopefully, preserve it forever.
