JAMES BAY HIGHWAY...THE NORTHERNMOST PAVED ROAD IN EASTERN NORTH AMERICA!

Описание к видео JAMES BAY HIGHWAY...THE NORTHERNMOST PAVED ROAD IN EASTERN NORTH AMERICA!

Geographically, the Arctic Ocean's southernmost point is the Hudson Bay, in Northern Quebec, Canada. The closest town to that point is Radisson, Quebec.
.
The only road to Radisson and the James Bay Region, is this; The James Bay Highway.
.
IT IS A VERY ISOLATED ROAD.
.
I have driven on 4 of North America's Top 5 most isolated roads, and it is one of them. Here they are;

- US Highway 50 in Northern Nevada (also known as the loneliest road in America (657 kms / 386 miles)

- The Dalton Highway (Alaska.. 666 kms / 416 miles)

- The Transtaiga Road (Quebec...NO JOKING, it's also 666 kms / 416 miles)

- The Dempster Highway (Yukon and Northwest Territories 737 kms / 460 miles).

- The James Bay Highway (Northern Quebec 620 kms / 388 miles).

The Transtaiga is the only one I've not driven on and it is by a wide shot, the absolute loneliest road in North and South America. So far of the 4 I've driven on, the Dempster Highway, in my humble opinion, is the most isolated.
.
The James Bay Highway, has the title of the scariest for me. The road is fully paved, so that alone should make it less scary than the Dalton and Dempster. However, the fact that there's a sign in security post at the beginning of the highway, is the unnerving part. They just want to know when they should send crews to start looking for you!
.
Hope you enjoy this. The trip was done from Toronto, in my Nissan Altima in August 2018. It's about 1,500 kms one way.
.
BE WARNED.....THE MOSQUITOES UP HERE ARE DEADLY! THEY WERE COMING THROUGH MY AIR CONDITIONING VENTS.
