Sirat is that terrifying path which every one of us will have to cross one day. It will be thinner than a hair and sharper than a sword. On that path, if a person relies on intellect, strategies, or cleverness to cross it, he will surely fall, because neither wisdom nor planning will be of any use there.
To cross the Sirat, only deeds will matter. If a person is sinful, he will slip and fall into the depths below. But if a person is righteous, he will cross it with ease, even though the bridge is extremely narrow.
Some will cross it crawling on their knees, some will walk, and some will run. Some will pass like the wind, while others will pass like lightning—each according to their deeds.
May Allah make the crossing of the Sirat easy for all of us. Ameen.
